Age Relaxations for LIC AAO

According to the official statement, the deadline for evaluating an age is February 1, 2020.

The candidate must be at least 21 years old and not more than 30 years old (The candidate must have been born not earlier than February 2, 1990, and not after February 2, 1999, including both days).

Eligibility Criteria for LIC AAO

Educational eligibility for LIC AAO.

There are different positions notified functionally under the LIC AAO combined exam.

The educational qualifications vary for all of the posts vary. The following are the post-specific educational requirements:

A. For AAO (Generalist), 

A bachelor's degree in any discipline is required.

B. For AAO (IT), 

A bachelor's degree in engineering in computer science, information technology, or electronics, or an MCA or an MSc is required (Computer Science).

C. For AAO (Chartered Accountant), 

A bachelor's degree from a recognized Indian University/institution is required, as well as passing the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and completing the articles as presented by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICA) as an Associate Member is compulsory for the candidates. Candidates must provide their membership number, which will be verified with the Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

D. For AAO (Actuarial): 

Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/institution, plus four or more other papers of the Institute of Actuaries of India/Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK examination (total six or more papers) as of the eligibility date, March 1, 2021.

Candidates must furnish their membership number, which will be confirmed by the Institute of Actuaries of India/Institute and Faculty of Actuaries of the United Kingdom.

After being appointed, a candidate is placed on probation for one year from the date of joining. This time limit can be increased to two years.

Guarantee Bond:

Before joining LIC various posts as a Probationer, candidates will be asked to submit the undertaking to serve LIC for a minimum of 4 years from the date of joining (including the probationary period). 

If selected candidates fail under undertaking terms and conditions. they or their heirs, executors, or administrators will be liable to pay liquidated damages of Rs.5,00,000/- only (Rupees Five Lakhs only) + GST or the sum that the Executive Director (Personnel) may decide.

The candidate is responsible for paying any applicable taxes, including GST.

The candidate will be required to provide a Deed of Indemnity and Surety, fully stamped and notarized, the stamp value of which will be determined by the state in which the deed is executed.

LIC AAO Selection Process 2022

The announcement refers to a three-tiered approach to job selection. It includes the following objects:

  • The Preliminary Examination, or Phase 1, is an objective test (Online Mode). Subject to availability, at least 20 times the number of vacancies in each category will be shortlisted for the Mains exam.
  • Phase 2 (Main Exam) includes an objective and descriptive examination (Online Mode). The descriptive exam will serve as the qualifying exam.
  • English marks will not be used to calculate ranking in either phase 1 or phase 2.
  • To be eligible for the online tests (preliminary and main) and the interview, the candidate must pass each section independently and achieve a minimum aggregate score.
  • Only the results of the Main Examination will be used to select applicants for an interview, and the Main Examination results will be combined with the results of the Interview to determine the final merit list of candidates.

Following the interview, candidates will be asked to undergo a medical examination.

Only medically fit persons will be considered for the final appointment, according to the criteria.
